IPTV on Android: TVs, boxes, phones & tablets
Android is the easiest platform for IPTV — everything installs straight from the Google Play Store, no sideloading needed. The same steps work on Android TV, Google TV boxes, phones and tablets.

Step-by-step setup

Install a player from Google Play
Open the Play Store and install an IPTV player app — we'll send you our current recommendation with your welcome message, chosen for stability and a good EPG on your device type.

Add your login
Open the app and choose 'Add playlist' or 'Login with Xtream Codes API'. Enter the server URL, username and password from your welcome message.

Let channels and the guide sync
First sync takes a minute or two depending on connection. After that, the app remembers everything.

Organise your favourites
Long-press any channel to add it to favourites — worth doing for the channels you actually watch, so you're never scrolling through thousands.

Cast to the big screen (phones/tablets)
With a Chromecast or Android TV on the same network, tap the cast icon in the player to send the stream to your TV.
Boxes: what's worth buying?
Any recent Google TV box handles 4K IPTV well. If you're buying new, pick one with Ethernet — a wired connection is the most reliable way to stream 4K sport.
Avoid no-name 'fully loaded' boxes sold on marketplaces. They ship with outdated Android, weak Wi-Fi chips, and often preinstalled rubbish. A mainstream box plus our service is cheaper and better.
Troubleshooting
Player crashes or freezes on launch
Clear the app's cache (Settings → Apps → your player → Storage → Clear cache), then reopen. If it persists, message us — occasionally a specific app version misbehaves and we'll suggest an alternative.
4K streams stutter on Wi-Fi
Switch the box to 5GHz Wi-Fi or plug in Ethernet. Run a speed test on the device itself — you want 35 Mbps+ for 4K.
Casting shows a black screen
Make sure phone and Chromecast are on the same Wi-Fi band, and try starting the stream after connecting the cast session rather than before.
